Back to the Future - 1 May 09
Sirius Bicycles is going back to its roots with the re-formation of a Staats factory team. The team will comprise 5 riders to be named after the worlds & in time for the Queensland state titles. This team will be the only factory team racing out of the siriusbikes.com stable in 2010 & the search for the 5 riders that will make up the team has been an arduous one but once the team is up & racing the hard work will have been worth it. The frames are hand built in The USA with OX Platinum tubing, which is a proprietary superthermophillic (heat-loving) alloy that has an unprecedented 217 ksi ultimate tensile strength and is highly temper-resistant, resulting in an 11% increase in fatigue life and a 20% increase in impact strength over the competition.
