The Sirius Bicycles Team Rider Program is a multi-tier program comprised of 4 levels of support; Grassroots, Team, Co-Factory, & Factory. Not everyone that races BMX will go on to become a factory rider but those with the dedication & desire will eventually succeed in some capacity... As they say "the cream always rises to the top".

The following is a brief outline of the program.

Tier 4 - Grassroots Level: Discounts on all purchases. It all starts with the purchase of one of our frames (team discount applies to frames) & we will supply you with a team jersey. NB: As a grassroots rider you're expected to race on the bike & in the jersey provided at all times. Grassroots riders that consistently make Open Day and/or Zone finals can apply to move up a level.

Tier 3 - Team Level: Team pricing on all purchases. As a team rider you're expected to race on the bike & in the jersey provided at all times. Team riders that consistently make Zone and/or State finals can apply to move up a level.

Tier 2 - Co-Factory Level: Rider's purchases may be partially and/or fully subsidised by Sirius Bicycles. As a co-factory rider you must race on the bike & in the uniform provided at all times. Co-factory riders that consistently make State and/or National finals may be invited up to the factory level.

Tier 1 - Factory Level: Rider's purchases are fully subsidised by Sirius Bicycles. As a factory rider you must race on the bike & in the uniform provided at all times.

Sirius Bicycles not only take your results into account, your behaviour is taken into consideration also i.e. we look at you as an ambassador for our company & the products we offer. This applies to your conduct on the track, as well as off of it. People need to respect you, & being a jerk in a chat room or out in public, or on the track will reflect poorly on us & you will not get sponsored. We would rather support the nice guy/girl who finished third than the idiot who won!

At the end of the day, Sirius Bicycles is in the business of selling BMX products. Any rider that can assist us by way of establishing a good relationship with their local bike shop or by representing well (in public & on the track) will earn greater rewards in the form of further discounts on products & additional support from us in regard to meeting their individual race costs.

So you want to be a factory rider?...

Well factory riders are the best there is. They've worked hard to achieve their success & as such are also very good representatives for Sirius Bicycles. They receive a much greater level of support but have worked much harder for it. And factory riders have the added responsibility of doing their utmost to promote Sirius Bicycles & the products we offer.

In some cases factory riders are required to test & review products, as their input can be invaluable into the research & development of new products. Factory riders can often also be the face of Sirius Bicycles & as such will enjoy a much higher profile. They may feature in news items & in race reports & on various websites & in magazines.

But with a greater level of support comes a greater level of responsibility. A factory rider must understand the concept of sponsorship, as it requires a big commitment. The goal of a factory rider should be to always approach everything with as much professionalism as possible. This applies not only to racing but also to his/her preparation for racing i.e. training & nutrition, & the way in which a rider interacts with sponsors, vendors, administrators & officials, the media, & the general public alike. This sometimes means just stopping to talk to other riders at the track, or simply answering questions about yourself and/or our products.

Do you think you've got what it takes to be a Sirius Bicycles Team Rider? Then get your race CV together & send it to us ASAP. Be sure to include any clippings etc you might have & referrals from your club president, local bike shop owner, & coach are often a good idea also.
